Our state government client has the vision of enhancing the safety of Queenslanders through modern, sustainable and evidence-based corrective services. They are looking for to add a Business Analyst to the team initially until EOFY with possible extension.
Responsibilities:
YOUR NEW ROLE
The Principal Business Analyst supports the analysis, management and delivery activities required to implement business improvement initiatives and projects.
You will:
- Elicit and document business requirements using a variety of business analysis techniques
- Interpret business needs and translate those into functional and non-functional requirements and software specification
- Ensure business requirements are communicated to both software development and test teams
- Work with technical staff and act as a conduit between business customers and technical staff to define /refine requirement and develop solutions
- Develop and maintain standards for delivery of business analysis function using ICT industry best practices
- Ensure standard of documentation and tools used to elicit and capture business processes is consistently adopted within the business
- Negotiate and influence business users to drive efficiency through improved business practices
- Ensure stakeholders understand available ICT services and promote financial awareness with a view to delivering value for money
- Develop strong relationships with business and technical staff on the requirements that inform ICT solution design
- Negotiate effectively with customers to identify needs and business solutions and facilitate workshops to clarify and negotiate business outcomes
- Establish and maintain collaborative networks with business and other stakeholders
