SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST (IT / FINANCIAL SERVICES)

Strategic hybrid contract role in the insurance industry for an experienced IT Business Analyst. Analyze systems, define requirements, and support implementation. Leverage your SDLC knowledge, financial sector background, and analytical tools like JIRA and SQL. Toronto or Waterloo office with 3-day onsite schedule.

• Elicit and analyze business requirements including new requests, change requests, and production support.
• Coordinate preparation of user specifications with business users.
• Identify initiative gaps and impacts, and propose feasible solutions before implementation.
• Conduct impact analysis on application changes to ensure appropriate solution definition.
• Apply change management principles to support effective solution delivery.
• Liaise between business users and IT delivery team for requirements and issue clarification.
• Assist in project coordination and management from requirements scoping through implementation.
• Support development of user acceptance test strategies and scope.
• Continuously seek improvements to business processes.
• Perform production systems support such as reconciliations and issue resolution.
• Assist in process documentation and analysis as needed.
• Provide guidance and coaching to other business analysts.
