We are seeking an experienced Functional Business Analyst with a strong understanding of investment funds and technical skills in data extraction and reporting tools. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in SWIFT messaging, Business Process Modeling, and data optimization following system migrations. This role combines functional and technical responsibilities, requiring analytical problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
Key responsibilities
Data optimization and reporting
Lead data optimization initiatives after migrating carriers from decommissioned systems to new infrastructure
Utilize tools like SQL, PowerBI, or other reporting solutions to extract, analyze, and report data effectively
Identify inconsistencies and propose corrective actions to ensure data quality and accuracy
Business process modeling
Develop and maintain comprehensive Business Process Models to align system functionalities with business requirements
Document and MAP workflows to improve operational efficiency
Messaging expertise
Analyze, implement, and manage SWIFT messaging workflows to support payment and fund-related processes
Ensure compliance with industry standards and streamline communication flows
Test design and execution
Create detailed functional test cases and conduct non-regression test campaigns to ensure system integrity
Document test results and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve detected anomalies
Ticket management and vendor collaboration
Oversee ticketing processes and communicate with external providers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Ensure all tickets are followed up and resolved promptly
User acceptance testing (UAT) support
Assist business teams in conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Provide guidance and technical support to ensure successful test execution
Requirements
Technical skills
Proficiency in SQL, PowerBI, or similar tools for data extraction and reporting
Strong knowledge of SWIFT messaging protocols and processes
Experience in designing and implementing Business Process Models
Familiarity with data migration and optimization processes
Proven ability to design and execute functional and non-regression test cases
Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the investment funds domain is mandatory
Soft skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication abilities to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
A proactive approach to identifying issues and delivering solutions
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Desired profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Functional Business Analyst in the financial sector, preferably in investment funds
Familiarity with data reporting tools, SWIFT messaging, and Business Process Modeling is essential
Languages: Fluency in French and English (written and spoken) is mandator
