Who we’re looking for Toyota’s Corporate Shared Services Payroll Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Business Analyst, Payroll Systems. The primary responsibility of this role is to support data analysis and optimization of the payroll systems used to accurately and timely process payroll for 55,000+ team members across the North American Operations. Reporting to the Manager, Payroll Technology the person in this role will support the Corporate Shared Services Payroll department's objective to focus on accurate and timely payroll processing and delivering an excellent team member experience. What you’ll be doing Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement to provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership. Build relationships with key stakeholders (HR, Legal, Finance, Plant Business Units, IT, Security and external partners) to help analyze, troubleshoot, implement and measure requests and recommended actions. Identify and utilize current technology to perform data mining (auditing, aggregation, validation, and reconciliation). Gather, model, interpret, and analyze data explaining variances and trends. Manage and support various systems and tools used by Payroll (UKG Pro Payroll, UKG WFM, UKG Community, ServiceNow, SharePoint), including user access, security roles, and permissions. Support configuration of system settings, business rules, workflows and integrations and lead testing efforts including creating test scripts for execution based on specifications. Lead coordination and implementation of system upgrades, enhancements, and releases, ensuring minimal disruption to payroll operations and change management impact to end users. Practice process improvement techniques to identify, re-engineer and enhance processes to identify trends, inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement. Identify and resolve escalations or complex issues with strong emphasis on root cause analysis. Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing multiple systems (i.e. HR, Payroll, Time & Labor, General Ledger, Case management, etc.) and staying current with emerging technology (e.g., automation, RPA, AI agents, etc.) to support a large and complex payroll organization. Develop and maintain system documentation, user guides, and training materials. Provide training and support to end users. Represent payroll as a subject matter expert by developing a comprehensive understanding of its strategies, processes, policies, and data. What you bring Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Human Resources or related discipline AND/OR equivalent professional work experience. 5+ years’ experience in data analytics and data visualization. 2+ years’ experience in ServiceNow and UKG Pro Payroll. Must also have knowledge in Workday, UKG WorkForce Management, and Business Intelligence. Ability to understand data flow and integrations across multiple systems. Strong demonstrated process and project management skills, including ability to lead projects across functional areas such as HR Analytics, HRIS and IT. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts and business recommendations to Senior Management and to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Demonstrated experience in supporting HR/Payroll related technology enhancements, system upgrades, and process improvements through the documentation of functional business requirements, execution of test scripts, issues tracking/reporting, etc. Advanced Microsoft Office skills; ability to think strategically and be creative in data visualization (e.g., dashboards, tables, charts, heat maps, process flows, etc.) Added bonus if you have Proven experience using Power Automate, Power BI, Python, AND/OR SQL. Experience working in a large manufacturing industry organization. Payroll experience in technology – analytical or data analysis role. Training that supports Toyota Way guiding principles.
