SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST:

On behalf of our Consulting client, Procom is searching for a Senior Business Analyst for a 9 month contract role. This position is remote and located in Toronto, ON, Canada.

SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST - JOB DESCRIPTION:

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to support the successful execution of learning technology projects. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.

SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 6+ years of experience in business analysis or technology product management.
  • University degree in computer systems, business administration, or related area.
  • Advanced knowledge of business analysis methodologies, SDLC (Waterfall, Agile, SAFe), and IT solution delivery practices.
  • Strong consultative skills and business acumen to guide stakeholders toward effective decision-making and solution adoption.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio for data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences.

SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience with Cornerstone Learning Management System (LMS) Saba or other LMS.
  • Hands-on experience with Saba Analytics Reporting.
  • Proficiency in Tableau or other Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Understanding of APIs for system integration and automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with SCORM packages for eLearning content.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation of business and functional requirements through interviews, workshops, and workflow analysis.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear understanding and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Translate complex business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support project status reporting, risk and issue management, and assist PMs in coordinating project milestones.
  • Facilitate requirement refinement sessions, prioritization discussions, and scope definition.
  • Coordinate and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and sign-off.
  • Support development and QA teams by clarifying requirements and ensuring that delivered solutions meet business expectations.
