SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST

Procom is searching for a Senior Business Analyst for a 1-year role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Calgary or Edmonton office.

SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST - JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a Program, which involves integrating legacy systems with cloud applications. This role focuses on developing technology-driven solutions to enhance data workflows and reporting functions.

SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 7+ years as a Business Analyst supporting multiple initiatives.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Strong consultation, collaboration, and facilitation skills to assess business requirements.
  • Experience working on ERP implementations, such as Maximo or Oracle.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to determine root causes and identify alternative solutions to business problems.
  • Ability to negotiate scope with multiple stakeholder groups.

SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • CBAP certification.
  • Experience in a regulated environment as a Business Analyst (i.e., Utility).
  • Experience with iGrafx for process management.
  • Experience with Test Case & script creation.
  • Experience with Power BI and dashboard development.
Responsibilities
  • Support technology implementation projects integrating legacy systems with cloud applications.
  • Understand business goals, objectives, and project value to effectively work with subject matter experts and business users to identify, document, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Work with the business to identify, understand, and document the current state organization structure and business processes.
  • Collaborate with IT resources for inclusion and documentation of non-functional technical and operational requirements.
  • Work with business and 3rd party experts to understand, assess, and document the future state target operating model, business processes, and business requirements.
  • Understand and validate the proposed technical solution against business requirements.
  • Define and document business use cases.
  • Facilitate User Acceptance testing.
  • Collect requirements, ensuring they align with business functional requirements.
  • Communicate findings and solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that business requirements are met.
  • Provide documentation, training, and support to end-users, ensuring they are equipped to effectively use the new systems.
