JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Business Analyst for Rating supports planning and implementation of rate changes in the Insbridge rating engine, supporting Guidewire PolicyCenter for -.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Superior analytical abilities
  • Excellent math skills; Mathematics or Actuarial Science degree would be an asset.
  • Expertise in Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 5-7 years previous Business Analyst or related experience
  • Solid understanding of P&C insurance products and pricing
  • Experience with insurance policy management systems and/or rating engines
  • Understanding of Agile methodology and previous experience working in an Agile environment

Responsibilities

-liaising with Actuarial Pricing to elicit business requirements.
- Analysis, planning and delivery of rate changes; including priority, complexity, dependencies and other business and system impacts.
- Work with Release Train Engineer and Business Systems Analysts to ensure understanding of business requirements and plan delivery of changes accordingly.
- Lead the delivery of rating related projects and initiatives.
- Engage and coordinate work effort with Guidewire analysts and other technology teams on cross-functional projects.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to effectively manage delivery of changes according to project schedules and regulatory deadlines.
- Ensure quality and accuracy through planning of automated and manual testing, and validating test results.
- Thoroughly document business requirements and decisions, issues, test plans and test results. Identify risks and implement appropriate solutions and mitigation strategies.
- Respond to ad hoc inquiries and conduct investigations into rating issues and questions as required.
- Support internal and external audit and compliance teams as needed.
