Job Description Objective / Purpose: Research Technology and Lab Systems (RTLS) division is committed to developing strategies and implementing advanced systems, tools, and products to accelerate Takeda's drug discovery research and improve the well-being of patients. As a Business Analyst within RTLS, your responsibilities include working closely with scientists to comprehend and document business processes, defining and collecting user stories, and maintaining tools and collaboration sites for organizing this information. You will collaborate with product and project teams to communicate and prioritize requirements, establish tools and processes for facilitating end-user communications, training, and other organizational change management activities. Your role will involve utilizing your organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail to oversee operational and team activities within the division. Additionally, you will engage in collaboration with Scientists, Product Managers, Tech Leads, Tech/Data Engineers and any colleagues in platform, architecture and cyber security teams on a range of technology products and platforms that are at the forefront of drug discovery and development research. Accountabilities: Acts as a sole contributor or leads a small team to deliver IT solutions aligning with business strategic objectives in a cost-efficient and high-quality manner. Holds defined authority and responsibility for a significant work area, covering technical, financial, and quality aspects. Establishes organizational objectives and delegates responsibilities as needed, being accountable for self and junior members’ actions and decisions. Leads requirements gathering, prioritization, and negotiation with business management at a business unit level Drives business process design and requirements analysis for mid-size and moderate complex projects Serves as a subject matter expert in the business area of expertise, understanding multiple business unit organizations and related technical landscapes. Responsible for delivering large-scale changes and IT projects, making decisions impacting organizational work, objectives, and financial performance. Defines strategy, validates, and justifies business needs, conducts feasibility studies, and produces high-level and detailed business models. Prepares business cases, oversees development and implementation of solutions, and shares emerging industry standards and trends within their area of responsibility. Drives innovation by incentivizing data and digital proofs of concept and funding high-potential use cases. Education & Competencies (Technical and Behavioral): Required: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years’ experience as Business Analyst, IT Management Consultant and/or with System Development Ability of good writing and verbal communication in the English language for working as a member in multi-regional global projects, as well as the Japanese language in local teams. Excellent oral and written communications skills, business acumen with problem solving and analytical skills. Knowledge of business and system solutions and experience with implementing applications. Experience in Product Management, Agile methodologies and tools Ability to work with virtual teams located in different countries around the world, aligning and adapting different work, culture and communication styles. Experience in supporting multiple cross functional, local, or global projects. Experience in communicating complex information in a clear and engaging manner, adjust form and meetings to this and builds collaborative network of relationships in the business area and outside. Preferred: Life Science and/or Computer Science majors with Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry and/or drug development business experience Familiarity with regulated systems – general level of understanding of systems validation.
