Primary Location VIC - Melbourne - 655 Collins St Job Description Summary As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping business strategies and delivering enterprise-aligned solutions within our GBIS PMO team. This full-time, permanent, hybrid position (3 days in-office) is ideal for experienced professionals who thrive on solving complex business challenges, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving transformational change. You’ll be part of a collaborative team based in Collins Street, contributing to strategic programs and mentoring other analysts to build organisational capability. Please note that this role is only open to Australian Citizens. About the Role Lead requirements gathering for large, complex, multi-stakeholder programs across business and technology domains. Develop business cases and define enterprise-level requirements, ensuring full traceability through design, build, testing, and deployment. Conduct AS IS and TO BE process analysis across multiple business units using BPMN 2.0 standards. Collaborate with architects, solution designers, finance, and operational leaders to shape strategic solutions aligned with organisational and client outcomes. Work closely with finance teams to ensure clear understanding of end-to-end finance and commercial processes including procurement, client billing, contract variations, and cost management. Act as a trusted advisor to executives, influencing priorities and scope. Mentor junior and mid-level analysts, promoting consistency in methods and tools. Contribute to governance forums and track benefits realisation linked to BA deliverables. Drive alignment of business requirements with enterprise architecture and future-state capabilities. Skills and experience Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must have Australian Citizenship. Deep experience in utilities, transport, telecommunications, or other asset-intensive and field-operations industries. Must have experience with implementation or optimisation of Field Service Management systems. Strong understanding of finance and commercial processes, including procurement, work order management, billing cycles, invoicing, and revenue recognition. Advanced facilitation, negotiation, and conflict management abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including executive-level relationships. Ability to work autonomously while thriving in fast-paced and collaborative environments. Leadership and mentoring capability with a focus on building BA practice maturity and consistent analysis standards. Experience: 7+ years in business analysis with proven success in IT environments. Extensive experience in business process modelling (BPMN 2.0) and enterprise-level analysis. Strong background in ERP or finance-related programs and large-scale implementations. Proficiency in tools such as Visio, JIRA, Confluence, and advanced data analysis methods. Exposure to Agile frameworks and ability to guide teams in Agile practices.
