YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

As a BA specialising in Life Insurance you will have extensive experience in domain knowledge such as Life insurance, superannuation and in particular, customer communications. You will demonstrate expert knowledge in designing and implementing customer centric solutions for effective communications.

You will also have:

  • Multiple years experience in a similar role preferably, within Insurance / Financial industry
  • Experience in gathering and analysing requirements for systems such as Smartcomms, mainframe (COBOL) and Salesforce is highly regarded. Please note this role requires technical background to define requirements at a system level.
  • Proven experience in working in an agile (scrum, kanban etc.) and fast paced environment.
  • Solid experience in using JIRA, Confluence, Visio etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
  • Embrace changes with a “can do” attitude, stay flexible and ready for working in a fast paced environment. Able to accept new tasks at short notice.
  • Ability to work with multiple squads and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
  • A degree and/or relevant professional qualifications;
Responsibilities
  • Elicit detailed requirements by conducting interviews, workshops and other techniques that appropriate to each specific situation.
  • Break down requirements into concise and estimable user stories that capture all key aspects in detail.
  • Be the bridge between the business and IT, define and document business as well as technical requirements.
  • Work closely with SMEs, architects and developers and design solutions that are customer centric, intuitive and cost effective.
  • Effectively handle additional changes through negotiations and prioritisations.
  • Build strong working relationship with key stakeholders, identify opportunities, explore and define alternative options and make recommendations.
  • Manage other BA activities such as gap analysis, impact analysis, estimation, documenting “as is” and “to be”, production handovers as well as supporting SIT, UAT and PVT;
  • Be flexible with work assignments and able to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
  • Able to self-manage and prioritise your own tasks
