Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Business Controller to join our Finland team on a fixed-term contract covering a paternity leave.
In this role, you will act as a strategic finance partner to the Country CEO and Finland leadership team, while also being an integral member of the Group’s international finance team. You will be responsible for ensuring financial accountability, driving business growth, and providing high-quality financial insights to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Performance Management
Lead monthly financial closing and reporting for Finland, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Deliver variance analysis, insights, and recommendations to management.
Ensure compliance with group standards and drive improvements in reporting processes.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Manage Finland’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles.
Support business decisions with financial models, scenario analyses, and investment cases.
Identify risks, opportunities, and performance improvement areas.
Business Partnering & Strategy
Act as a trusted finance partner to the Country CEO and leadership team.
Provide strategic financial insights to support growth and profitability.
Contribute to initiatives such as pricing, investments, and market development.
KPI Monitoring & Accountability
Track and follow up on KPIs and operational metrics.
Maintain and enhance dashboards and reporting tools.
Ensure performance accountability across business functions.
Leadership & Collaboration
Play an active role in both the Finland management team and the international finance team.
Partner with group and country stakeholders to align strategy and execution.
Promote a culture of financial discipline and commercial mindset.
Qualifications & Experience
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
7+ years of experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or business finance roles, ideally in an international environment.
Strong expertise in financial reporting, planning, and analysis.
Demonstrated experience as a finance business partner to senior management.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
Fluency in Finnish and English (written and spoken).
