Description

Allianz Insurance Singapore is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Business Manager to lead our Bancassurance channel in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of relevant experience in insurance and bancassurance, with a strong track record in business development, strategic planning, and relationship management. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive growth, enhance partnerships, and lead a high-performing team to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic plan for the Bancassurance channel, aligning with the company’s overall goals, targets and objectives.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the bancassurance channel, expanding partnerships with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including bank partners across all the bank functions, to ensure effective collaboration and mutual growth.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and analyze channel performance, setting targets and KPIs, and driving initiatives to achieve and exceed business goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business managers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with product development teams to tailor insurance products to meet the needs of bancassurance partners and their clients.
  • Cross functional collaboration: Lead the digital transformation of sales execution processes by leveraging digital assets to enhance digital sales journeys, thereby optimizing sales operations for greater efficiency.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all activities within the channel adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies, managing risks effectively.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on channel performance, market insights, and strategic initiatives to senior management teams of both internal management team and external bank partners.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in bancassurance sales channel within the general insurance industry.
  • Proven track record in business development and strategic planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certification in Basic Insurance Concepts and Principles (BCP), Personal General Insurance (PGI), and Commercial General Insurance (ComGl) with the Singapore College of Insurance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Deep understanding of the Singapore insurance market and regulatory environment.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation in insurance
