Description The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic growth initiatives for Watson Clinic. This role supports the Clinic’s expansion strategy through financial analysis, business case development, and project management of new service lines, acquisitions, and clinic expansions. The position conducts detailed financial modeling and pro forma analysis to evaluate potential opportunities and presents findings and recommendations to executive leadership. Upon approval of initiatives, the Senior Business Development Manager coordinates cross-functional implementation, establishes project timelines, and ensures milestones and objectives are met through completion. The role works closely with physicians, executive leadership, finance, operations, and other departments to ensure projects are aligned with Watson Clinic’s strategic, financial, and operational goals. Essential Functions Business Opportunity Analysis Identify and evaluate new business development opportunities including new service lines, physician recruitment initiatives, clinic expansions, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. Develop financial pro formas, cost-benefit analyses, and ROI projections to support leadership decision-making. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends. Financial Modeling and ROI Evaluation Compile and analyze financial and operational data from multiple sources to build accurate business cases. Evaluate financial feasibility of proposed initiatives including capital investment, operational impact, and revenue potential. Track performance metrics and ROI for implemented initiatives to assess outcomes and support future strategic planning. Project Development and Implementation Coordinate implementation of approved strategic initiatives from concept through completion. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones. Facilitate collaboration across departments to ensure project deliverables are achieved within established timelines and budgets. Executive Reporting and Communication Prepare presentations and reports for executive leadership and physician leadership regarding proposed initiatives and project status. Communicate project updates, risks, and performance outcomes to relevant stakeholders. Support leadership in negotiations and evaluation of potential strategic partnerships or acquisitions. Strategic Initiative Management Monitor progress of strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with Watson Clinic objectives. Identify potential barriers to project success and coordinate solutions with leadership and operational teams. Assist leadership with long-term strategic planning and expansion initiatives. Supervisory Responsibility This position may coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams but does not typically have direct supervisory responsibility. Work Environment & Physical Demands Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and analytical accuracy required. Extensive computer use including financial modeling and data analysis. Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, leadership, and operational staff. May require sitting for extended periods of time. Travel Occasional travel may be required to evaluate potential locations, attend industry meetings, or participate in strategic planning events. Requirements Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred (MBA, MHA, or related). Five or more years of experience in healthcare strategy, business development, finance, consulting, or healthcare operations. Demonstrated experience developing financial models, pro formas, and business case analyses. Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex operational and financial data. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present strategic recommendations to senior leadership. Strong project management skills with experience leading initiatives from concept through implementation. Knowledge of healthcare operations, physician practice management, and healthcare market dynamics preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience in physician-owned medical groups or large multi-specialty practices. Healthcare consulting, strategy, or corporate development experience. Project management certification (PMP or similar) preferred. Experience working with physician leadership and executive teams.
