Responsibilities

MŌ TE TŪRANGA | ABOUT THE ROLE

In this Senior Business Development Manager role, you’ll be responsible for analyzing broker portfolios and developing strategic business plans for our Aon broker partners. The position requires a close working relationship with our underwriting teams, CPF and NZI colleagues as well as delivering quality service and support to our broker partners.
Key accountabilities include new business, renewal retention, growth of profitable business and mentoring of newer brokers and staff alike. One of CPF’s competitive advantages is being based in broker’s offices. You’ll work in partnership with Aon Brokers, getting to understand customer needs, assessing risk accordingly and underwriting new and renewal business. This will make for an efficient and seamless partnership for CPF and Aon customers.
This is a permanent full-time on-site role and is open to our IAG office in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).

To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally meet the below criteria:

  • Commercial underwriting and pricing experience
  • Experience in relationship management at a senior level within the insurance broker market
  • Experience in strategic account management
  • Strong relationships building and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the local commercial insurance market
  • Sound decision making skills with the ability to exercise judgment
  • Proactive, self-motivated and success orientate
