Senior Business Development Manager - Nordics Are you our next Sales Superstar? About the role As a Senior Business Development Manager, we want you to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions through high calibre narratives and work cross-organizationally to build trust and engagement. We want you to open up a new territory for Climb and set the foundation for further growth. Be the first person in a new region, starting to introduce a set of cool vendors combined with a leading AI-Portfolio in the market. Your main responsibilities will be to manage and deliver defined go-to-market programs in close collaboration with Climb and Vendors Provide generalist Industry BD support, with industry awareness and broad expertise in Climb Portfolio, providing training and knowledge sharing to partners and customers. Be the focal point in the region about Storage and other Datacentre Technologies, AI-Solutions, AI-Trainings and Solutions. Targeting the new and exciting partner and customer regarding Storage and AI. Provide feedback on opportunities and sales activity Provide regular reports as required by the vendor, which may include weekly, monthly and quarterly reports Manage special pricing or high value sales opportunities Work with vendors on shows, exhibitions and general sales activities Engage with key decision makers within targeted resellers Assist the Marketing team with marketing activities as required Perform sales floor walks and necessary innovative sales activities at reseller offices Assist resellers' sales personnel as necessary, and as commercially prudent, in pre-sales activities Internal liaison and development Work closely with Climb Marketing and Sales team to communicate, develop and understand the activity required by the reseller Work with internal management on Business Intelligence and analytical activities Assist in the creation of Business Development plans Generate new business sales and opportunities Stimulate sales activity within the resellers Progress and follow up vendor leads Ensure timely and lucrative closure of key sales opportunities This role is home office-based but with regular visits to our office in Amsterdam or Munich as requested. About you We want you to have a minimum of five years of sales experience within distribution or the channel, and experience in selling software storage within the last three years. Our most successful people are commercially minded, focused, supportive, pragmatic and creative. Does this sound like you? Candidate must be business fluent or a native speaker in Norwegian; business fluency in English as a second language is a must.
