As a key driver in our business development projects, you’ll manage the technical evaluation of acquisition and divestment opportunities, steer multidisciplinary due‑diligence teams, and turn complex subsurface and operational data into a clear, compelling investment case for top management. You’ll influence high‑value international transactions, work closely with MOL’s technical teams and third-party stakeholders, and play a central role in building the technical backbone of strategic M&A decisions. As part of a senior team, You will manage technical due diligence workstreams in E&P business development projects — define DD scope and timeline, coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams, deliver inputs for valuation and review outputs to ensure a consistent investment view. You will define the technical aspect of the investment storyline by understanding the key value drivers of targeted opportunities and building a coherent investment case which you will present to top management. You will also screen new E&P investment opportunities, support M&A analysis, and manage the preparation of all technical materials for divestment projects. What will You bring to the Team? Educational Background: University or College degree in geoscience, petroleum engineering or engineering. Professional Experience: You have solid, hands‑on experience leading complex E&P technical projects in an international environment for at least 10 years where investment decisions rely on your expertise. Experience in E&P M&A transactions on both the buy and sell side is a strong plus, including managing technical due diligence projects and defining compelling transaction narratives. Hard Skills: You have deep knowledge of subsurface and surface technical workflows across the full E&P lifecycle, from exploration through development to production. You have a solid technical background combined with strong commercial awareness, enabling you to identify key value drivers and risks of E&P assets and challenge technical disciplines when needed. You have strong project and stakeholder management experience, including the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with executives. You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, allowing you to work confidently with senior stakeholders and international partners. Mindset & Interpersonal skills: You have a positive, collaborative attitude and communicate clearly and effectively.
