About the role Step into a rare and highly impactful opportunity as a Senior Business Improvement Specialist, shaping the future of operations at Peak and Hera/Federation in the Cobar region. You will lead high-value improvement initiatives, streamline processes, and deliver measurable results, all while working closely with a passionate and supportive management team that genuinely invests in your success. This role offers the chance to influence site performance, embed best-practice business improvement strategies, and make a tangible difference across operational teams. You will also play a key role in developing people and capability, coaching leaders and teams to enhance their performance, problem-solving skills, and continuous improvement mindset. Roster: 8/6, 12 hours per day Location: Peak Mine, Cobar NSW Travel options Residents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family-friendly township of Cobar. Relocation support is available, along with a residential allowance DIDO if you live within an 800km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowance FIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne Key responsibilities Lead and deliver site-based business improvement projects Facilitate workshops to identify opportunities and generate ideas Coach and develop leaders and teams in continuous improvement practices Analyse data to prioritise improvement initiatives and measure results Support risk management and embed safe, compliant work practices Maintain and improve management system processes and documentation Monitor progress and report on outcomes against approved plans Qualifications and experience Extensive experience in business improvement within mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry Proven capability in facilitating workshops and leading change initiatives Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Advanced Microsoft Office skills and data analysis capability Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline (desirable) Lean Six Sigma or similar Business Improvement certification (desirable) MAKE AN IMPACT, GET RECOGNISED – BE AN AURELIAN At Aurelia Metals, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
