POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to lead our Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives, with a focus on enhancing data-driven decision-making in the context of higher education. The ideal candidate will use agile methodologies to develop and improve data-centric solutions that support the university’s strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions, creating insightful dashboards, and applying storytelling techniques to communicate data insights effectively to academic and administrative stakeholders.

WORKPLACE REQUIREMENTS:

Hybrid position: This position is offered as a hybrid role, combining both in-office and remote work to provide flexibility and support collaboration. Per Rice policy 440 , work arrangements may be subject to change.
Hiring Range: $95,900 - $106,488
*Exempt (salaried) positions under FLSA are not eligible for overtime.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

SKILLS:

  • A Business Intelligence Analyst IV is a senior-level professional with extensive experience in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence. This role involves leading and executing complex analytical projects, providing strategic insights, and contributing to the overall data-driven decision-making process
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling
  • Proven leadership experience in leading complex analytical projects and managing teams
  • Expertise in advanced data visualization tools, BI platforms, statistical software, and programming languages (e.g., Python, R)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex data insights to diverse audiences, including executives
  • Ability to think strategically and contribute to the development of business strategies based on data-driven insights
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in business intelligence and data analytics
