THE OPPORTUNITY:

Toll International is actively seeking a distinguished Senior Business Intelligence Architect for a pivotal, long-term consulting engagement with the Port Authority of NY & NJ. This position is integral to the Enterprise Reporting and Application Development (ERAD) program, which is responsible for delivering critical data and application services across the agency.
The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding a sophisticated BI platform, enabling the organization to leverage data for better decision-making and scale analytics to meet evolving business needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in data warehousing, data analysis, ETL processes, and multi-dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schema).
• A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including data modeling, development, and database management.
• A minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience with Azure Analysis Services (AAS), including the development, optimization, and administration of Tabular Models.
• Expertise in developing OLAP cubes and implementing complex calculations and dynamic security models using DAX functions.
• Proven experience using performance monitoring tools such as SQL Profiler or DMVs to troubleshoot and optimize queries and cubes.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Cognos, or Tableau.
• Professional certifications in relevant technologies are highly desirable.

• Lead the full development lifecycle of BI solutions, including documenting business requirements, creating project plans, and overseeing the development, testing, and deployment of new implementations.
• Architect and develop sophisticated analytical structures, including OLAP/tabular cubes in Azure Analysis Services, and automate processes to meet analytical demands.
• Provide comprehensive system and environment support, including maintenance, enhancements, on-call availability for issue resolution, and administration of user security to ensure platform stability and integrity.
• Design and manage relational database structures, write optimized SQL queries, create views and stored procedures, and oversee data quality and security.
• Develop and maintain all necessary system documentation, create user guides, and provide training to end-users to ensure the successful adoption of new functionalities.
