REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCE:

  • Education: You hold a recognized (in Luxembourg) law degree. Any additional education or professional experience abroad, or a postgraduate degree in IP law is an advantage.
  • Attorney in Luxembourg (liste I, II, or IV).
  • Experience: At least 5 years of relevant legal experience in Intellectual Property law, with a keen interest in technologies.
  • Languages: Excellent command of English and French. Knowledge of the third language (German or Luxembourgish) is an advantage.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to align legal tasks with business objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic, pragmatic, and solution-driven, with a focus on achieving the best outcome.
  • Personality: A team player with a positive attitude, able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You are curious, creative, and eager to challenge the status quo in legal matters.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive legal consultancy on a wide range of matters, including corporate law, business contracts, and dispute resolution.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel on complex IP matters and litigation, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, with a focus on IP-related contracts, licensing, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence in relation to IP assets for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
  • Advise on legal questions related to innovation and emerging technologies, ensuring alignment with both business and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor legal developments in IP and general business law, ensuring that the company remains compliant with applicable laws.
  • Provide legal support in managing disputes, enforcement of rights, and liaising with external counsel where necessary.
  • Collaborate with teams across the group of companies, offering legal advice and facilitating business transactions.
  • Participate in legal training and development initiatives, sharing your knowledge of IP and general legal matters.
  • Handle all aspects of intellectual property law, including holding the IP portfolio of the company, including, IP strategy, protection, enforcement, and management of the company’s IP assets (patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets).
