Overview Reports To: RVP, Commercial Lending - Varies by location Functions Supervised: Small business lending. Primary Functions: Responsible for structuring, approving and managing the credit union's small business loan activity. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for reviewing, approving or declining loan that are processed through the business loan origination system. Manage small business loan portfolio to include, delinquencies, renewals, modifications and loan covenants compliance. Monitoring should include the proper management of risk ratings and early identification of potential problems. Responsible for developing lending policies, guidelines and procedures related to the small business loan origination system. Ensure compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to small business lending and related credit union activities. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the business loan origination system to include system upgrades and daily system functionality. Responsible for management and control of all SBA lending activities. Supervise and train Business Lending Officer. Responsible for the preparation and input of financial information for commercial credits. Analysis to include balance sheets, income statements and cash flow. Review and evaluated credit applications for completeness and compliance with policy. Maintain high degree of technical understanding with respect to business credit processing, including software requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Economics. Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Minimum of five years experience in all aspects of business and commercial lending with good working knowledge of regulations and legal issues associated with business lending. Experience in credit analysis with an emphasis on financial statement analysis. Experience/Skills: Minimum of three years experience in all aspects of business and commercial lending with a good knowledge of regulations and legal issues associated with business lending. Experience in credit analysis with an emphasis on financial statement analysis. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, tax returns and legal documents. Ability to respond to inquiries or issues from members, regulatory agencies or business community participants. PC proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Tenure: Not applicable. Compensation Senior Business Lending Officer (Category 07) Salary Pay Range: $90,389 - $152,718 annually. Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above. In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
