About the team: This role a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Listings and Markets business by uncovering market opportunities and delivering strategic insights that drives sustainable operation of critical market infrastructure, innovation and growth. The Business Management, L1 Risk & Strategy team supports and enables the operation and growth of the Listings and Markets business. The Listings and Markets business is responsible for providing resilient, stable and contemporary trading and clearing platforms and services that support our customers to manage risk effectively and provide investment opportunities in high quality markets. What you will be doing: How we do things at ASX is just as important as what we do. This means, if you're a people leader, you will be responsible for both the core duties outlined below, and providing leadership to your team to ensure we foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment, where people feel empowered, accountable, and deeply connected (as outlined in our Leadership Principles). Strategic Planning: Support the development and governance of the business strategy and plan. Where required, assist with budget planning and delivering key strategic projects. Market research: Conduct and lead in-depth market analysis, competitor benchmarking and industry trend assessments to identify emerging opportunities and inform strategic decisions. Business Performance Analysis: Define KPIs, metrics and dashboards (in collaboration with Data Analytics team), analyse diverse data sets and trends to generate insights and inform strategic decision making and streamline / optimise operation of the business. Executive Reporting: Manage internal reporting deliverables and presentations including monthly Board reports, ASX Investor Relations materials, Board deep dives and other ad hoc requirements. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and partner with stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment of strategy execution and priorities. Communications: Produce high quality and compelling presentation materials and collateral to support business engagement and alignment. What you will bring: Must have Tertiary qualifications in either economics, finance, business, strategy, law or related field. 5+ years’ post-graduate experience in a business management, strategy consultancy, corporate strategy, or financial services Proven planning skills and demonstrated experience in developing performance metrics. Strong data analysis skills; ability to synthesize information into clear, actionable insights. Excellent facilitation, written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and engage / manage a wide variety of stakeholders. Outstanding organisation skills, initiative, curiosity and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities. Technology tooling – advance powerpoint, excel skills, Power BI (or similar), JIRA, confluence.
