WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a senior risk professional with significant experience in 2nd line risk management in a financial services context, ideally within insurance or platform services. You will bring strong analytical, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Significant demonstrable experience in risk roles within financial services.
  • Expertise in risk frameworks and control processes.
  • Ability to lead and influence across business and risk functions.
  • Exposure to Board and ExCo risk reporting.

Desirable:

  • Experience in unit-linked insurance.
  • Recognised risk management qualification.

Responsibilities

This high-impact role provides senior risk partnering for SJP’s insurance and platform businesses, supporting risk governance, risk frameworks, and oversight of change initiatives within St. James’s Place UK (SJPUK) and SJP Investment Administration (SJPIA).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead risk oversight for SJPUK and SJPIA, including governance, appetite setting, and issue management.
  • Provide strategic business risk partnering to 1st line units.
  • Support delivery of regulatory reports and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate across the business to ensure a cohesive risk culture and strong regulatory compliance.
  • Provide mentoring to junior risk partners and act as a trusted advisor.
