Description
As a Senior Business Technology Specialist, you will serve as a key technical and operational resource supporting the organization’s mortgage technology ecosystem, business applications, and workflow automation initiatives. You will leverage your technical expertise, analytical skills, and mortgage industry knowledge to enhance system performance, streamline processes, and support strategic technology initiatives across the company. You will play a critical role in troubleshooting complex issues, leading enhancement projects, improving data integrity, and ensuring that technology solutions meet or exceed user expectations. This position requires strong problem‑solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable technical solutions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Provides Tier 2–3 support for business applications, including diagnosing, analyzing, and resolving complex production issues. * Serves as a subject matter expert for mortgage technology platforms, workflow tools, and integrated business applications. * Leads the planning, testing, and implementation of system enhancements, upgrades, and new technology solutions. * Partners with business units to document requirements, evaluate impacts, and ensure solutions align with operational needs. * Designs and optimizes workflows, automation rules, and system configurations to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes. * Supports data integrity efforts by analyzing data models, validating system outputs, and assisting with reporting needs. * Collaborates with vendors, programmers, and internal teams to ensure accuracy and quality of system changes. * Assists in integrating investor guidelines (e.g., FNMA) into automated processes to improve compliance and loan quality. * Develops and maintains documentation, including system procedures, enhancement specifications, and user guides. * Provides mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members and cross‑functional partners. Required Qualifications:  * Mortgage banking, financial services technology, or business systems experience required. * Strong understanding of LOS platforms, workflow automation, and mortgage technology tools. * Demonstrated project management skills, including documentation, communication, and issue resolution. * Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and system behavior. Preferred Qualifications:  * BS or BA degree in Information Technology, Business Systems, Computer Science, or related field. * Certified Encompass Administrator or completion of Encompass Administrator Essentials * Experience in mortgage servicing, secondary marketing, or compliance technology environments
