About the Job Global Non IT Procurement is responsible for the worldwide strategic procurement of services and products for the Allianz Group in the following categories: Professional Services, Marketing and Communication, Facility Management and Insurance Procurement. As part of the global procurement organization, the local team in Barcelona is currently expanding with experienced buyers to run global projects. The Senior Buyer focuses on the Marketing and Communication Category. The role will have a strong focus on working closely with the internal marketing teams located in different countries, to identify sourcing opportunities to improve outcomes for Allianz key marketing activities. What you do Manage global marketing sub-categories such as call centers and related global suppliers, including contract negotiations, utilizing the SAP ARIBA purchasing tool and overseeing supplier relationships. Analyze procurement markets on national, regional and international levels, benchmarking best practices, considering total cost of ownership and identifying opportunities for cost reduction within marketing through detailed spend analysis. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to create value for stakeholders, ensuring compliance with company and industry-specific requirements. Lead project management initiatives involving strategic planning and implementation of tenders, working with various departments and national companies. Manage supplier relationships, contracts, KPIs, and feedback sessions to ensure supplier performance aligns with company goals. Collaborate with Allianz Business teams to identify opportunities for performance improvement and cost savings and advise on purchasing processes and market dynamics. Apply both classic and agile project management methods, conducting strategic spend analysis to optimize sourcing strategies and maximize value for money. What you bring Master's degree in a commercial or technical field; marketing or business studies are advantageous. Experience in engaging Allianz Operating Entities (OEs) to collaboratively fulfill Group Procurement and overarching targets, with a proven ability to influence others without direct authority. Autonomous work style with strong collaboration and team orientation; capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines. Proven ability to work in complex, international teams with excellent analytical, strategic, and management skills, aligning with diverse senior stakeholders. Hands-on approach, actively involving necessary functions to successfully accomplish tasks and targets, and maintaining strong customer orientation. Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus) and proficiency in MS Office, SAP, Ariba, or similar procurement tools, with strong negotiation skills. Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing procurement for an international company or in global project management within a matrix organization, with a strong understanding of procurement processes (e.g. procure-to-pay).
