POSITION OVERVIEW

As our Senior Buyer, you will have full autonomy for managing and executing procurement strategies that support company operations while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and supplier reliability. This role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and cost analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Finance, Manufacturing, and Documentation Control as well as be the primary contact with our suppliers, vendors, external service providers. You will report directly to our President/GM and work hand in hand with our Operations Manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Must have 3-5 years’ experience as a buyer in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have experience with ordering raw materials
  • Buying experience in the oilfield is a huge plus, particular with oilfield pipeline/pipe/pipe fittings
  • Familiar with working with NDE Vendors is a plus
  • Advanced understanding of procurement processes, supply chain operations, and current market trends as well as negotiations, strategic sourcing, bidding, and contracting
  • Proven analytical, cost analysis, and problem-solving skills is a MUST
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully with a global team from diverse cultures
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen collaborative partnerships both internally and externally
  • Familiarity with financial principles and broader business operations is beneficial
  • Professional, adaptable, and committed to delivering excellent service
  • Manages multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%)
