JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and services while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards. This role requires a deep understanding of supply chain management, negotiation skills, and proficiency in various ERP systems. The Senior Buyer will play a crucial role in enhancing our procurement strategies and supporting our overall business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles with a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400 is essential.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations.
  • Knowledge of materials management, inventory management, logistics, pricing strategies, and production planning.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to sourcing and procurement activities.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, production planning, and merchandising to align procurement activities with business needs.
  • Utilize ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, and AS400 for inventory control and materials management.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and manage MRP processes to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Oversee e-commerce purchasing activities and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and market conditions for senior management review.
