RSB Automotive Consulting supports engineering projects across the automotive industry by connecting experienced specialists with companies developing next-generation mobility solutions. For an ongoing automotive project focused on autonomous vehicles software development, we are looking for an experienced Senior C++ Developer who will contribute to the development of safety-critical embedded systems. This is a fully remote role with an expected project duration of 12 months, starting April 1st, 2026. Project Overview The project focuses on the development of software for autonomous vehicle systems, with a strong emphasis on high-quality C++ development and compliance with automotive software standards. The work involves contributing to complex embedded software components within a distributed engineering environment. Responsibilities Development of automotive embedded software in C++14 Implementation of software components in line with AUTOSAR and MISRA guidelines Participation in code reviews and version control workflows using Gerrit Writing and maintaining unit tests using Google Tests Working with Bazel / Dazel build systems Collaborating with distributed engineering teams involved in autonomous vehicle software development Contributing to the overall quality and maintainability of safety-critical software components Requirements Senior-level experience in C++ development Strong experience with C++14 Good understanding of MISRA coding guidelines Experience with AUTOSAR-based software development Experience with Gerrit code review workflows Knowledge of Google Tests for unit testing Experience with Bazel or Dazel build systems Background in automotive or embedded software development Ability to work effectively in distributed project environments Project Details Role: Senior C++ Developer Industry: Automotive – Autonomous Vehicles Start date: 1 April 2026 End date: 1 April 2027 Location: Fully remote Capacity: Full-time (100%)
