Description

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Senior CAD Designer to join a cutting-edge technology company in Cambridge, ON. This full-time, on-site, 3-month contract offers the opportunity to collaborate with a highly skilled, cross-functional engineering team on a groundbreaking project: developing a laser-based Ground Station to communicate with satellites.

  • Salary: $45.00/hour
  • Location: Cambridge, ON
  • Job Type: Full-time | Temporary 3-month contract
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 4-6 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in CREO CAD software and solid modeling
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and machining processes
  • Familiarity with industry concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to use experience and judgment to achieve goals independently
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Optical, Thermal, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineers
  • Design structural and alignment components for a laser-based Ground Station
  • Develop solid models, machining drawings, and assembly drawings using CREO CAD software
  • Design new products and improve existing designs for reliability and cost efficiency
  • Evaluate parts, products, and processes for manufacturability and performance
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and meet production deadlines
  • Lead and guide others on the team when necessary, applying creativity and independent judgment
  • Perform a variety of tasks and report to a supervisor or manager
