Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading distributor of Racking & Storage products that are looking to to on-board a Senior CAD Designer work on projects for clients across the North West and the UK. REQUIREMENTS

The company are ideally looking for an individual with experience of carrying out designs using autoCAD within the Racking & Storage industry. It is also essential that you have experience working for a business that operates as the principle designer/contractor and you have a strong understanding of building control regulations. In terms of location, you will ideally be based in the North West or within a reasonable distance as this role will be office based.

· Using autoCAD software to design and create technical drawings and plans of racking and storage systems based on requirements supplied by the sales team
· Editing designs and various stages of the process as the customer requires
· Providing accurate and detailed drawings which are to scale
· Checking the feasibility of the manufacture and construction of the product
· Ensuring that all drawings comply with the health and safety protocols set out by the industry
· Creating documentation for installation and manufacturing
