Description

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Biscuit & Brew is a family-owned cafe & lounge in the heart of Nottingham city centre. We think good service starts with a smile and that genuine smiles come with good service.
We’re loose leaf tea specialists. All of our blends are our own and are inspired by anything from sweets, desserts & cocktails to books, moods or music. We bake all our own cakes. All of our food and drinks are put together by hand, fresh to order. We source our ingredients from the best local suppliers.
We like tradition but we also like to be creative. There’s a fine line between novelty and nostalgia - our menu makes a good effort to tread it (try Spice Girl and you’ll see what we mean!).

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Some management experience or evidence of taking on extra responsibility.
  • Clear and relevant hospitality experience - preferably front of house.

BONUS SKILLS

  • Baking or kitchen experience
  • Barista experience
  • Food Safety Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate
Responsibilities

As a frontline cafe assistant you will be expected to work alongside our team, initiating and maintaining strong, genuine relationships with our customers. You will greet customers, take orders, serve drinks and manage tables in our very busy city centre cafe & lounge.
At times you will prepare hot & cold drinks from our extensive menu and make food from fresh in our kitchen. There may be some baking involved too.
As a senior member of the team you will be expected to lead by example, motivate others and consistently perform to a high standard of excellence. You will on occasion open or close the store, coordinate with upper management, take stock checks and place food orders, while always ensuring our very high standards are consistently met.
