EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., GHG Inventory Professional, Carbon Accounting Professional) is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in carbon accounting, sustainability, environmental management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in preparing GHG inventories, carbon footprint assessments, and emissions reporting in line with international standards.
Responsibilities

The Senior Carbon Emissions Analyst will focus on assessing, managing, and reducing carbon emissions across the operations of our clients, supporting our goal of helping our clients achieve net-zero emissions. This role requires a strong technical background in carbon measurement, data analysis, and environmental impact assessments, along with experience in communicating findings and implementing effective strategies to reduce emissions.

  • Carbon Emissions Tracking: Lead the tracking, measurement, and reporting of Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emissions across all company operations and supply chains.Develop and maintain carbon accounting models and tools to support accurate emissions inventories and forecasting.
  • Carbon Footprint Analysis: Conduct detailed analyses of carbon data, identifying key emission sources and opportunities for reduction.Perform life cycle assessments (LCAs) and carbon intensity analysis for products, services, and projects.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure that the organization complies with national and international carbon accounting standards, including the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, and other relevant frameworks.

Prepare and submit emissions reports for regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and voluntary sustainability certifications (e.g., CDP, GRI, TCFD).

  • Strategy Development: Work closely with the sustainability, energy, and operations teams to develop carbon reduction strategies, helping the organization achieve its climate goals.

Advise on carbon offsetting initiatives and other innovative solutions for reducing the organization’s overall carbon impact.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and consultants to ensure proper carbon accounting practices and the adoption of best practices.

Communicate complex carbon data and findings to non-technical stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and investors.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and regulations in carbon accounting and climate strategy.

Lead training and capacity-building sessions for internal teams to increase carbon awareness and data accuracy.

  • Carbon Data Integrity: Oversee the integrity of carbon accounting data, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and transparency in all emissions reporting.
