OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, with the ability to lead and supervise a team while ensuring that each resident receives personalised attention and support. This role is essential in maintaining the quality of life for our residents, promoting their independence, and fostering a warm and welcoming environment.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience in senior care, preferably within a care home setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with previous supervising experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and their families.
  • Ability to develop and manage care plans that meet the individual needs of residents.
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract
    Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and meal preparation.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences.
  • Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
  • Maintain accurate records of residents’ progress and any changes in their health or wellbeing.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
