Bluebird Care Guildford, Godalming and Surrey Heath are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Carer to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our customers in their own homes. Working closely with the leadership team, you will support the growth of our services by assisting in onboarding new customers and supporting existing customers ensuring premium care delivery. The role will also include assisting new members of the care team with the onboarding process as well as ongoing spot checks and shadowing
This role requires a compassionate, adaptable individual with a strong background in domiciliary care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle a busy and changing work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Person-Centred Care Delivery: Provide compassionate, respectful, and tailored care to customers, supporting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Customer Support & Onboarding: Assist in welcoming new customers, understanding their needs, and supporting the Care Management team with care planning.
Care Team Support: Mentor new and existing care team members, assist with shadowing, spot checks and supervisions.
Flexibility & Adaptability: Work flexible hours within the scheduled window, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, to meet the business’s needs.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all care activities are conducted in accordance with health and safety standards, safeguarding policies, and care plan.
Driving & Mobility: Use your own car to travel between customers’ homes, ensuring punctuality and reliability.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in domiciliary care or a similar healthcare setting.
Driving License: Valid UK driver’s license and your own vehicle, insured for business use.
Local Knowledge: A good understanding of the local geographic area and road network.
Flexibility: Willingness to work between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM, 5 days a week.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Empathy & Compassion: Genuine desire to improve customers’ quality of life.
Resilience: Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations with composure and professionalism.
