SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT

As a Senior Care Assistant at The Mayfields Care Home, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents. This position is essential for ensuring that individuals receive the support they need while living with us, contributing to their well-being and quality of life.
Offering shifts from 7am to 7pm, and a competitive hourly rate of £14. If you have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or are working towards it), we’d be excited to have you on board.

REQUIREMENTS:

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or be working towards it).
• Previous experience in a senior care role or similar position is essential.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support team members.
• Knowledge of care home regulations and best practices is preferred.

• Carrying out handovers at the end of each shift, making sure everyone is informed and up to date.
• Creating a caring and supportive environment that meets the physical and emotional needs of our residents.
• Making sure there are enough staff on shift, and planning ahead for future staffing needs.
• Reviewing and updating care plans to ensure they match our residents’ needs and wishes.
• Supporting residents with their daily personal care – to include washing, bathing, dressing, and using hoists when needed.
• Keeping the environment safe and secure for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Working together as a team to help keep everything running smoothly and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
