DAY SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT

Location: Lancaster, Lancashire
Service: Ashton Manor Care Home
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.85 per hour + Overtime £15.35
Annual Salary: £27,727.70 per annum (base) / up to £30,248.40 with paid breaks*

Hours: 8am - 8pm shifts on a two-week rolling rota:

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Evermore Care is seeking passionate and experienced Senior Care Assistants to join our team at Ashton Manor, a luxury, state-of-the-art care home in Lancaster. This is an exciting opportunity to lead, supervise, and mentor a team of care assistants while providing outstanding person-centred care to residents.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Proven leadership experience in an elderly care or dementia care setting.
  • Experience in providing care during day shifts.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will oversee and guide the care team, ensure high standards of care, and support residents through their daily routines. You will be responsible for administering medication, observing changes in residents’ conditions, and directing appropriate care. The ideal candidate will promote person-centred care, maintain professionalism, and liaise confidently with healthcare professionals.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding vulnerable adults’ policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and create or update care plans in line with residents’ needs and preferences.
  • Follow professional standards and adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations set by the Care Quality Commission.
