Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Service: Astley View Care Home
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.85 per hour + Overtime paid at £15.35 per hour
Annual Salary: £27,727.70 per annum (base) / up to £30,248.40 with paid breaks* + £1000 Welcome Bonus*

Evermore Care is seeking dedicated Senior Care Assistants to join our new service, Astley View, in Chorley. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and mentor a team while delivering exceptional, person-centred care to our residents.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Proven leadership experience in an elderly care or dementia care setting.
  • Experience in providing care within a care home.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will oversee and guide the care team, ensure high standards of care, and support residents through their nightly routines. You will be responsible for administering medication, observing changes in residents’ conditions, and directing appropriate care. The ideal candidate will promote person-centred care, maintain professionalism, and liaise confidently with healthcare professionals.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding vulnerable adults’ policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and create or update care plans in line with residents’ needs and preferences.
  • Follow professional standards and adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations set by the Care Quality Commission.
