SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about high-quality care, who enjoys leading and mentoring colleagues, and wants to make a real difference in the lives of our residents. You will play a key role in supporting our three-unit home, ensuring each resident receives personalised, compassionate care.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Proven experience in a care home or healthcare setting, preferably in a senior or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of care plans, residential care practices, and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic IT skills for care documentation.
  • A compassionate, empathetic, and professional approach to care and team leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support care delivery within your unit, assisting residents with personal care, mobility, and daily activities.
  • Mentor and guide junior care staff, fostering professional development and best practices.

  • Engage residents in meaningful activities, companionship, and social interaction.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, reporting changes in residents’ conditions to the management team.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
  • Uphold and champion the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and infection control.
  • Act as a key point of contact for residents’ families, providing updates and reassurance.
