SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT – DAY SHIFTS

Location: Glyncornel Nursing Home, Rhondda Cynon Taff
Pay: £13.60 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 07:00 – 19:00 | Day shifts on a rolling rota (includes weekends & bank holidays)

YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll lead by example supporting residents with their daily needs while guiding and mentoring the care team to deliver safe, dignified, person-centred care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Leading and supporting a team of Care Assistants during your shift
• Delivering hands-on personal care with dignity and respect
• Administering or supporting medication (following policy and training)
• Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and maintaining accurate care plans
• Communicating with families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals
• Helping create a positive, safe, and welcoming environment
• Mentoring new and junior staff to build confidence and skills
