We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents.

What You’ll Do:

• Support residents with daily living in line with individual care plans
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned residents
• Supervise and mentor care staff, ensuring care delivery meets high standards
• Administer and manage medications following policy
• Monitor nutrition, hydration, health, safety, and wellbeing of residents
• Act as a key liaison with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
• Lead and manage shifts in collaboration with the management team.

What We’re Looking For:

• Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Health & Social Care (Adults) or equivalent
• 2 years + experience as a medication giver
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Experience in a dementia care home setting
• Experience in person-centred working
• A proactive, professional attitude with a passion for elderly care

Working Pattern:

• Flexible shifts
• Days/Nights/Weekends working

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Weston-super-Mare BS23 2RN: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Language:

• English (preferred)
