Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in providing high-quality care to residents in our care home. This role involves both hands-on care and leadership responsibilities, ensuring that residents receive person-centred support in a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment.

  • Deliver personal care and support to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, mobility, and meals
  • Administer medication in accordance with care plans and regulatory guidelines
  • Supervise and mentor junior care staff, providing guidance and support
  • Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to senior management or healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate records of care, medication, and incidents
  • Promote dignity, independence, and choice for all residents
  • Support the development and implementation of individual care plans
  • Assist with admissions, assessments, and family liaison as needed
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and contribute to a positive care culture
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or working towards.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a care setting, ideally with supervisory duties
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate a team
  • Understanding of CQC standards and care home regulations
  • Medication administration training (preferred)
