SENIOR LEAD (NIGHT SHIFT)

Lambton House is a 57 bedroom family owned care home for people with residential and dementia care needs.
You will play an essential role in leading care and ancillary staff members in all aspects of our service to residents, including deputising for senior managers at times.
The ability to form positive relationships with residents, their families and professional colleagues is vital.
As senior care assistant you will report to the Registered Manager and be responsible for delivering high standards of care in accordance with company policies and procedures and all external regulatory requirements.
You will lead from the front and set exceptional examples of professionalism in all aspects of leadership and care.
Term -
Full time
Hourly rate -£14.97
overtime may be offered with £1.50 hourly enhancement.
Paid breaks.
Weekend working may be part of this role subject to rota
Holidays
5.6 weeks per annum pro rata
Role and responsibilities
Ensure the ethos, aims and objectives of the home are met
To lead, supervise and co ordinate a care team.
Accurate updating of documentation, including care plans and medication records
Liaison with families of residents and healthcare professionals.
Medication dispensation.

Qualifications , Skillsets and Personal attributes -

  • Minimum Level 3 required in Health and Social care
  • A compassionate and caring attitude.
  • Dementia awareness and relevant training/qualifications are desirable.
  • A committed and organised approach. A clear thinking ,considered and thoughtful decision maker. Ability to problem solve on a daily basis.
  • Excellent effective communicator with experience in leading, supervising and motivating staff members. An open, fair and non discriminatory approach to staffing issues is essential.
  • A high standard of written English and Computer based skills. This role has a requirement to accurately input, update and maintain company information and records on a weekly/ monthly basis, to a clear standard that will satisfy external governing bodies. Paperwork and computer records will include care plans and medication documentation.
  • A good understanding of Regulatory Compliance and the ability to demonstrate delivery of a quality service.
