ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Senior Care Assistants to join our team in a well-established nursing home in Gateshead. This role is available on both full-time day and full-time night shifts, working 44 hours per week.
You must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) and have previous experience working as a Senior Care Assistant in a nursing home or care home environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and supervise the care team on shift, ensuring high standards of care are maintained
• Provide personal care, support with daily living tasks, and promote residents’ independence
• Administer medication in line with policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate care records and update care plans as required
• Support new and junior staff through mentoring and guidance
• Liaise with residents’ families and healthcare professionals to ensure person-centred care
