Role Overview As a Senior Carer, you will support the Care Manager to ensure our Care Assistants deliver exceptional care during a minimum of 45-minute visits. Your role will include mentoring staff, support of onboarding new clients, delivering hands-on care, and completing essential office tasks. About You You are calm, patient, detail-focused, and committed to excellent care. You’re adaptable, open-minded, and confident in blending your experience with our policies while suggesting improvements. You take pride in supporting others, asking for guidance when needed, and acting as a role model for the team. Building relationships with client families and care professionals Desirable 12+ months hands-on care experience Working towards or holding Level 2 QCF/NVQ (preferred, not essential) Upbeat verbal, written and face to face communication style UK driving licence with access to a car (Essential) Progression We promote from within where possible, offering training and development for those looking to progress into roles such as Care Coordinator, Care Supervisor, or Care Manager. Requirements of a Senior Care Assistant: Must hold a full and valid UK or EU/EEA driving licence and have access to own vehicle Be able to offer availability either early mornings (from 7am), afternoon (from 2pm) and every other weekend Commit to attending a 3-day training course Live locally to Stevenage, Letchworth & Hitchin and surrounding areas Have or be willing to obtain business vehicle insurance If you have experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Carer, HCA, Health Care Assistant or in the NHS we would love to hear from you.
