Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Nurse in Charge and managing a team of Care Assistants to provide high-quality care to our residents. You will be responsible for helping individuals with their daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their dignity is maintained.
Your role includes assisting with personal care, administering medication, developing care plans, and coordinating activities that enhance residents’ lives. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and service users to deliver holistic care and ensure the well-being of those in our home.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and support Care Assistants, ensuring high standards of care are met
  • Assist with personal care, promoting independence and dignity
  • Organize and lead activities for service users, including outings and games
  • Attend MDT meetings and contribute to care planning and assessments
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate records
  • Help develop and review care plans, including risk assessments
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and physical disabilities
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained
  • Support meal preparation and assist residents during mealtimes
  • Record incidents and report any changes in residents’ conditions
