Swan staff ltd are seeking Senior carers to join our care home based in Kings Lynn they are a charming and quirky manor house, home to 41 residents living with dementia across two floors. No two days are ever the same here — we pride ourselves on providing high-quality, person-centred care in a warm and welcoming environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a Senior Care Assistant within a care home or similar setting.
  • Must have NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and able to lead by example.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for staff queries or concerns during your shift.
  • Promote a caring, relationship-centred environment that supports residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Participate in day-to-day activities, encouraging independence and meaningful engagement.
  • Monitor residents’ health and report any changes promptly to senior management or nursing staff.
  • Administer medication safely and accurately in accordance with policies (if trained and authorised).
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential care records.
  • Provide thorough shift handovers to ensure continuity of care.
