JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting. You will be responsible for supervising junior staff, assisting with care plans, and ensuring that the needs of our senior residents are met with dignity and respect. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a care home or similar environment is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively is highly desirable.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents as needed.
  • A genuine passion for providing compassionate care to seniors is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of residents’ progress and any changes in their condition.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to foster a supportive environment.
  • Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
  • Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes within the care home.
  • Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in senior care.
