SUMMARY

We are seeking a Senior Care Navigator / Team Lead to join our dedicated team at St. Saviour’s Surgery in Malvern. This pivotal role will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering high-quality patient care while supporting our staff in their professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in senior roles or similar positions.
  • Strong leadership skills with supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in IT systems relevant to healthcare management.
  • A compassionate approach to patient care and team collaboration.

    Hours:
    7.5 hrs per day - Mon-Fri
    The Practice is open 08.00-18.30 everyday. The shifts would include at least two early shifts and two late shifts.
    Early Shift - 08.00-16.00
    Late Shift - 11.00-19.00

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the Care Navigation / Reception team, ensuring high standards of patient care.
  • Foster effective communication within the team and with patients.
  • To work closely with the Practice Manager to continue to improve standards across a wide range of clinical and administrative activity.
  • Organise the Reception Rota to ensure cover is always maintained.
  • To support the Reception team to provide an efficient and friendly reception service for all patients and visitors to the practice.
  • To support the Reception team to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Doctors and other members of the clinical team.
  • To effectively communicate and liaise with the Reception team and address any queries and problems that may arise.
  • Lead on the fortnightly Reception Team Brief meetings with support from the Practice Manager, Senior Practice Nurse and Operations Manager.
  • Attend and share minute taking with the Operations Manager at the Monthly Practice Business meeting, Clinical and PPG meetings.
  • Assist the Practice Manager in ensuring that the Reception team are compliant with Information Governance and GDPR.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of The Care Navigation / Reception Team.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Participate in training and development programs for staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and best practices.
