The Senior & Care Research Analyst will research the concerns and needs of seniors and caregivers, providing information to support care ministries, events, and community partnerships. Ministry Area/Department Marketing Position Research Analyst (Senior Citizens) Accountable To Kingdom Insights Director Ministry Target Senior citizens and caregivers within the church and surrounding community Position Is Volunteer Position May Be Filled By Church member Minimum Maturity Level Stable Maturing Christian; Tither Spiritual Gifts Wisdom, Discernment, Mercy, Helps Talents or Abilities Desired Research and survey development, Data analysis and reporting related to caregiving, health and senior living, discretion Best Personality Traits Compassionate • Patient • Creative • Analytical • Supportive Passion For Ensuring seniors receive spiritual and practical support. Length of Service Commitment One year minimum Anticipated Time Commitments: 1. Doing ministry/preparing for ministry: 8-12 hours per week 2. Participating in meetings/training: 2-3 hours per month Responsibilities/Duties: 1. Research how systemic poverty (fixed incomes, retirement insecurity, cost of living) affects seniors and caregivers. 2. Gather data on education access for lifelong learning and digital literacy opportunities for seniors. 3. Document the effects of systemic racism in eldercare, community services, and treatment of seniors. 4. Track healthcare access, including affordability, transportation, and caregiver stress. 5. Research the impact of environmental degradation (pollution, unsafe housing, climate extremes) on senior wellness. 6. Explore how false moral narratives of religious nationalism marginalize or minimize elder needs and contributions. 7. Research how militarization and the war economy affect veterans, caregivers, and communities with high defense presence. 8. Document the experiences of migrant seniors and caregivers, including language barriers and access to resources. 9. Provide regular reports with insights and recommendations for senior and caregiver ministries.
