JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in senior care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised care and attention.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred, particularly in nursing homes or assisted living environments.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and case management practices is advantageous.
  • Certification in First Aid is desirable.
  • Strong skills in patient care with an emphasis on empathy and compassion.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective interaction with clients and their families.
  • A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
  • Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and changes in client health status.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
  • Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and client progress.
  • Uphold confidentiality and respect the dignity of each client at all times.
